18th Queen Mary’s Own Hussars Officer’s Mameluke sword circa 1911-22.
A fine rare example, the curved unfullered blade with etched decoration depicting "18" within a Crowned strap, battle honours to South Africa 1899-1902 and a Crowned GvR Cypher. Fine gilt cross guard bearing silver applied silver regimental device incorporating XVIII. Two piece plain ivory grip with gilt floral head patteri. Housed in original brass scabbard, fitted with two loose rings. Minor service wear.

Raised on 23rd February 1858 as 18th Regiment of Light Dragoons, redesignated Hussars in 1861. 1st November 1910 granted title Queen Mary’s Own. Amalgamated with 13th Hussars in April 1922

French Napoleonic Waterloo Period Heavy Cavalry Cuirassier's sword.
A very scarce and impressive example of the pattern carrier by the feared French Cuirassiers at the Battle of Waterloo. The single edged straight blade with two wide fullers and spear point. The back of the blade with cutler's details and date 1810. Brass four bar open guard with leather grip. Housed in its original polished steel scabbard, fitted with two loose rings. This sword remains in good original condition (uncleaned or polished). Overall age patina.

William IV 1830-1837 Officer's Levee 1822 Pattern Infantry Piped Back Bladed Sword
A scarce and unusual example. The piped back 1 inch wide blade with an etched panel to each side bearing WIVR cypher. This cypher is repeated to the regulation pattern open bar brass guard which protects a shagreen grip retaining twist wire binding. Complete with original brass scabbard. Slight age wear. Good clean condition.
