WW1 Pattern British Army Pattern Entrenching Tool.
A good example, of the standard pattern carried by troops during the Great War. The shovel head with makers name Chilington (undated). The wooden shaft is of the correct pattern with straight cut end. Has been used GC.

WW1 1915 British Officer's Sam Brown Belt.
A very good and rare dated example, retaining brass furniture and single brace strap. The tang of the belt with clear stamp "H. Simmsons Bloxwich 1915". Leather supple and good colour VGC.

WW1 1914 Leather Equipment / 1908 Webbing Equipment Large Pack.
A very rare good example of the large pack interchangeable with both patterns of equipment. Complete with all brass buckles and both rear leather straps to the flap. The rear with web tangs fitted with eye holes, this making the pack interchangeable. Slight service wear, leather remains supple.

WW1 Royal Marine Light Infantry RND Original Pistol Set. Gallipoli & Western Front
A rare untouched set of equipment as worn by a member of the RMLI. Comprising: 1914 pattern leather belt, complete with all four back straps (Stamped with WD Arrow and L). 1914 pattern ammo pouch. Leather pistol holster clear 1914 issue date. ... Pistol ammo pouch, again dated 1914. The inside flap of the 1914 pouch with initials "CMFB 2nd RMLI" the inside flap of the pistol pouch "C.M.F Burk----" (Faint). Leather remains supple, dusty condition. GC.

This belt set remains as originally worn in the field by the owner. The RMLI saw action at the Gallipoli landings and also on the Western Front.

WW1 1st/5th Bn South Staffordshire Regiment Divisional Badge 1902 tunic.
A very rare example of the 1902 servicedress tunic retaining original insignia. Complete with South Staffordshire Regiment brass shoulder titles and buttons. to each shoulder red Stafford knots indicating 1st/5th Battalion. The right cuff with three overseas chevrons and marksman badge. The tunic with two pleats to the collar and the interior retains original paper issue label with 1918 date. Also to the interior pencil name of A Balliequer. The overall condition is good with some scattered moth nips and small holes not effecting the appearance. .... Accompanied by 1917 pattern trench cap, this with regimental cap badge and correct thin brown leather chinstrap. The interior with oilskin and cotton sweatband lining. GC.

The Battalion landed on the Western Front on the 3rd March 1915, later transferred to the Egypt, but after a brief period returned to France and remained until the end of the war.

Royal Horse Artillery Other Rank’s Tunic
A good Elizabeth II period example, of the Eton style tunic dark blue material with scarlet facings to the collar. Each cuff is decorated with a yellow mohair cord Austrian knot. To each breast 15 loops of yellow cord, now with brass King’s Crown ball pattern regimental buttons and loop fastening. White cotton lining to the interior. Remains in clean condition, minor service wear.

WW1 Royal Welsh Fusiliers Officer's Tunic.
A good period example of the 1916 pattern shoulder rank tunic complete with regimental pattern collar badges, buttons and back flash. The right cuff with two oversea chevrons. The interior with lining. Overall GC some age and service wear. Evidence of medal ribbon pair having been worn.

    Scottish. Ayrshire Yeomanry Victorian Officer’s Hussar tunic.
    A fine and scarce fresh example of the 1880 pattern in dark blue melton cloth, with scarlet facings to the collar and cuffs and each with the addition of gold bullion decoration. To the front four ornate loops of gold bullion cord with loop and olivette fastening. Further cord decoration can be found to the back and edging of the tunic. The shoulders with bullion cords, each bearing single Bath Star, secured by a gilt regimental pattern Victorian buttons. Quilted silk lining now shot.

    A rare example of the field dressing carried in the inside pocket of the British Army 1902 pattern trench tunic. This example was made by T.J. Smith & Nephew Ltd HUll. Dated February 1918. GC. Unopened

    WW1 6th Bn (Stockport) Cheshire Regiment 1914 Pattern Equipment Large Pack
    This is a very rare example of the large pack for the 1914 leather pattern equipment. Heavy green canvass, retaining all brass buckles and leather straps. These remain supple and are in good condition so can be added to a set of equipment. The underside of the flap with issue stamps 303 6.Cr 4/15. (Issue date April 1915 to soldier 303 6th Bn Cheshire Regiment). The overall condition is good, period field repair to the back and with fraying back lower left corner.

    This bag is attributed to 303 Private George Hewitt, who was born and lived in Stockport Cheshire. He landed in France with the Cheshire Regiment on the 25th September 1915. The 1901 census confirms the information.

    Westminster Dragoons rare 1905 khaki Officer's tunic.
    A very fine example tailored for Captain P.H. Illingworth in 1905. The uniform is of special regimental pattern. Khaki cotton cloth, with purple facings to the collar and cuffs. The latter also decorated with a fine silver cord line. The collar is tailored to be worn standing or down to form a V shape. To the left breast a single Queen's South Africa Medal ribbon; Captain's rank to the shoulder straps and complete with gilt buttons mounted with a post 1901 crown. The interior with label giving the owner’s name and date July 1905. Generally very good condition.

    Captain Percy Hodden Illingworth served in South Africa as a Private with the 9th Company 3rd Bn Imperial Yeomanry (Yorkshire Hussars) gaining the QSA with clasps Wittebergen and Cape Colony. He was appointed a Captain in the Westminster Dragoons on the 22nd November 1911. His name does not appear in the 1914 Army List
