Formed in 1942, strongly engaged in the Burma campaign against the Japanese.

Gold wire arm clutching dagger embroidered on red rectangle.Red cotton backing retaining two of four press studs. Slight service wear.

It was raised in Secunderabad in India in 1941. It originally consisted of the 62nd, 63rd and 64th Indian Infantry Brigades. Its first commander was Major-General Jackie Smyth VC

A fine scarce example, navy printed on khaki. Removed from a uniform.

Raised originally as an LDV unit in May 1940 by Abingdon’s MP Sir Ralph Glyn. The unit guarded the non-tidal part of the Thames from Teddington Lock to Oxford.

29th Brigade Group very scarce formation sign.
A good example. Yellow numeral and four leaf clover printed on blue shield, brown paper backing.

Comprised 1st Somerset LI, 1st Glosters, 2nd KOYLI. These battalions had been with 8th Indian Div since Italy hence the adoption of the four leaf clover from the 8th formation sign.
