Royal Air Force OR’s RAF Medical Branch 1918 collar badge.

A good scarce die-stamped brass example on loops. Crowned laurel wreath on “Nec Aspera Terrent” scroll; rod and serpent of Aesculapius (the Greek God of Medicine) to voided centre.

AMWO 1217/18 of 10th October introduced this pattern which was shortly superseded by the usual winged pattern still in use today.
